Chancel Choir Rehearsal

  • Church of the Nativity 400 Howard Street Greenwood, MS, 38930 (map)

The Chancel Choir of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity invites you to join our musical community as we come together to praise and worship through the power of music. Led by our talented Choir Director, David Williamson, who also serves as Nativity's organist, our choir rehearsals are a time of camaraderie, growth, and shared artistic expression.

The Chancel Choir plays an integral role in enhancing the Sunday morning worship experience at Nativity. We provide beautiful and uplifting music during the 10:30 AM Sunday services, adding a rich layer of harmony and spirituality to the liturgy. Through our voices, we seek to inspire congregants and create an atmosphere conducive to deepening their connection with God.

Our rehearsals are held on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM and Sundays at 9:30 AM. These sessions offer an opportunity for choir members to come together, learn, and refine a diverse repertoire of sacred music. Under the expert guidance of David Williamson, our Choir Director, we explore a wide range of musical styles, including traditional hymns, contemporary compositions, and choral classics.

Joining the Chancel Choir is a fulfilling way to share your passion for music, engage in meaningful worship, and build lasting friendships within our church community. We welcome all individuals who have a love for singing and a desire to serve through music ministry. Whether you are a seasoned vocalist or a novice singer, we encourage you to join us, as no prior choral experience is required.

By becoming a member of the Chancel Choir, you will not only have the opportunity to participate in the Sunday services but also contribute to special musical events throughout the liturgical year, such as Christmas and Easter celebrations, festivals, and concerts.

If you are interested in joining the Chancel Choir or simply wish to learn more about our music ministry, we invite you to attend one of our rehearsals. Feel free to reach out to our Choir Director, David Williamson, or contact the church office for further information. We look forward to welcoming you into our musical family at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity.
